opening for ASP.NET web developer in Central London, West London

Employer: REDWOOD PUBLISHING RECRUITMENT

Responsibilities:
• Front end web development using xHTML, JavaScript, AJAX and CSS
• Back end web development in ASP.net using VB.net
• The ideal candidate would have a feel for good graphic design
• Evaluating and acting upon requirements for business solutions
• Designing web pages and translating static designs into web formats
• Developing back end systems to manage web sites, manage and deliver data
• Helping progress the architecture of the websites and online services in a forward thinking manner
• Assisting in expanding online communities and newsfeeds thought good SEO and link building
• Finding creative solutions for delivering content online to maximise the user experience
• Working with the Endeca proprietary search engine to index and deliver optimum content for our clients

Technical Experience:

•        Detailed understanding of and experience in website development, web content production, HTML messaging, banners and microsites

•        Web development using HTML, XHTML, JavaScript and CSS

•        Good experience of ASP.net using C# or VB.net (you will be expected to code in VB.net)

•        Good knowledge of search engine technology

•        A passion to develop one's skills and integrate the latest ideas into effective web  tools

•        Web analytics

•        Relational databases such as SQL Server

•        Internet Information Server 6/7

•        Knowledge of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies

•        A passion for digital media

•        SEO / SEM

•        Self-starter with the desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity

•        Ability to operate in a small, fast-growing company as a supportive member of the IT team

•        Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

•        Knowledge of accessibility, W3C web standards and browser compliance

•        Willingness to help with IT support and administration
